Preview

The Miami Heat will wrap up their five-game road set against the Oklahoma City Thunder this evening.

Miami Heat

It's been a woeful road trip for Miami, but they were able to pull of their second victory over the Jazz this month last weekend.

Miami may enter this one without Jimmy Butler, but their deep enough to adapt and survive without their captain.

Bam Adebayo anchors this team in the middle, and he'll be leaned tonite after outings of 28 and 30 points in the Staples Center last week.

Tyler Herro has revved things up in Jimmy B's absence with a pair of 27-point performances. The former UK guard is up to 21.5 ppg for the season.

The additions of Kyle Lowry and P.J. Tucker have only made this Heat roster smarter and more rugged. Lowry posted the sixth triple-double of his career against Utah, while Tucker had a cray putback dunk last night.

Oklahoma City Thunder

The Thunder are a young, resilient team, and their going to continue to steal games this season. They've already stunned the Lakers twice and they enter this one facing a shorthanded Miami squad.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander should absolutely be a first-time All-Star this season. The fourth year guard has enjoyed a successful seaosn thus far, leading OKC with 22.6 ppg, while averaging 5.2 rpg and 4.2 apg.

Darius Bazley (6.5 rpg), and Josh Giddey (10.7 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 5.9 apg) compliment SGA in the starting lineup. Lu Dort is a stud defensively, and he's coming off of a career-high 27 points.

Prediction

Getting behind the Heat without Jimmy Butler is tough to do, but they've proven they can win without him. OKC feels like a trap game, but the Heat will enter with the better pieces. Covering a nine-point margin shorthanded on the road feels risky, so we'll sway with the under for this one.
