The Indiana Pacers will travel and take on a shorthanded Denver Nuggets team this evening. These two teams split last season's meetings.

Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers have struggled out of the gate, but they enter this underdog spot rested, and with the ammunion to defeat a Jokic-less Nuggets team/

The return of Caris LeVert has helped, but the return of Malcolm Brogdon should really give the Pacers a boost this wee. Brog leads the team with 22.3 ppg, while adding 7.2 apg and 7.1 rpg. Levert is averaging 17.2 ppg through five contests.

Domantis Sabonis is having another fantastic year up front for Indiana. The former Gonzaga big is scoring 19.3 ppg and leading the team with 10.9 rpg. He's a reliable double-double threat, and he's bound to secure his first triple-double of the season soon.

Chris Duarte reminds Pacers fan a lot of Malcolm Brogdon. The first-year guard from Oregon leads all rookies with 16.2 ppg, while shooting 44.7%.

Denver Nuggets

Denver pulled off a big win at home agaisnt Miami on Monday, but they will have to go into this one without reigning MVP Nikola Jokic. The Serbian Bulldozer's reaction to a bad foul by Markieff Morris led to a minor one-game suspension. Jokic sent a bigger message, and his team should be motivated tonite.

They may find trouble functioning offensively tonite without Jok or swingman Michael Porter Jr. That's a lot of production to replace in a short spell and it might not happen this evening.

Will Barton and Aaron Gordon should be hunted prop wise, as they may receive a lot of volume tonite. Barton is scoring 16.2, while AG is adding 11.8 ppg and 6.1 rpg.

Monte Morris has been solid in Jamal Murray's point guard slot, scoring 10.9 ppg on 46.1% shooting.

Prediction

Denver will be in the mile high tonite, but it's really hard to see them winning this game. The Pacers have one of the more versatile lineups in the league, and it looks like Domantis Sabonis and Myles Turner are going to have their way with Jok unavailable tonight. Take Indiana's spread confidently this evening.
