Preview

The Cornell Big Red will host the Columbia Lions this Wednesday afternoon.

The Lions currently sit in the floor of the Ivy League standings. They come into this one losers of ten of their last eleven games.

The Big Red caught a big of fire to close the month of January, defeating Harvard, Brown, and Princeton three weekends in a row. The Big Red loss to Penn last time out, but they should be able to respond here.

Columbia (4-16)

Ike Nweke's return has been the lone positive for Columbia this season. The 6'7 senior followed up a season-high 22-points against Princeton by posting a 21/15 line in their conference win over Penn.

Nweke leads the team in scoring (15.9) and (6.3) but he's only played in ten games.

Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa has come in and played a big role early as a freshman. The 6'2 has been the Lions most consistent player, and he's posting solid averages of 12.7 ppg, 3.9 rpg, and 3.2 apg on a team-leading 34.2 mpg.

Patrick Harding grabbed a career-best 21 rebounds in the win over Penn, and he leads the team with 8.4 rpg.

Cornell (11-10)

Jordan Jones return in late January has been timely and productive. The 6'5 forward leads the team in scoring (11.3), and he scored 18 points in the upset win over Harvard.

Chris Manon has scored 20+ in back-to-back games, including 22 points in the win over Princeton.

Dean Noll has grown during his junior season, posting solid averages of 9.6 ppg, 3.3 rpg, and a team-leading 2.7 apg.

Kobe Dickson leads the team with 5.1 rpg.

Prediction

Just how heavy lifting can Cornell do? We love the under here, as 159 is a lot for any two teams to tackle.

Take the under for this Ivy League battle.
