Preview

The Los Angeles Clippers will look to figure things out when the Oklahoma City Thunder come to town Monday night.

The Thunder put a scare on the Warriors before pulling off a historic upset over the Lakers in Russell Westbrook's return last week.

The Clippers have dropped their last two games by double figures, and they need to stop the bleeding here in this home spot.

Oklahoma City Thunder

The Thunder are a young, resilient team, and their going to steal some games this season. With a two-game slate in Staples this week, this first matchup with a reeling Clippers team feels like the matchup they could pull off.

OKC stud Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be making his return to Staples tonite. The fourth year guard enjoyed a successful rookie season with the Clippers, helping them secure a playoff birth with one of the more iconic playoff teams in recent history.

SGA is thriving in year four, and he's to another fast start, averaging 22.1 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, and 3.8 assist per game.

Darius Bazley (6.5 rpg), and Josh Giddey (10.7 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 5.9 apg) compliment SGA in the starting lineup.

Los Angeles Clippers

The Clippers have gotten off to a disastrous start in Kawhi Leonard's absence. After losing their first two games by close margins, then a blowout of Portland, LAC closed out the month of October with a pair of bad losses.

Paul George is doing all he can to keep the Clips afloat. After an admirable effort last postseason, the eleventh-year guard will be looked upon nightly for production and leadership. Geore is averaging 27.6 ppg, 7.8 rpg, and 3.6 apg.

Beyond the PG, the production dips off a bit. Reggie Jackson hasn't been able to recreate his postseason magic, and he's struggled thus far, shooting below 32$ percent. He's second on the team in scoring with 14 ppg.

Prediction

The Clippers have struggled mightily to begin the season, but tonight presents a spot for them to get back on track. With OKC missing Lu Dort for this one, look for LAC to figure things out and secure their second win of the season. The spread is lofty, but the Clippers should cover at Staples.

PICK: Los Angeles Clippers -13.5
