The Portland Trail Blazers will travel to Salt Lake City and take on the Utah Jazz Monday night.

Portland Trail Blazers

All-Star point guard Damian Lillard is starting to figure things out this season. The former Weber State guard is averaging 21.8 ppg, which is his lowest since his rookie season, but he exploded for 39 points against Philly last week. 

C.J. McCollum looks like hes on his way to averaging 20+ ppg for the seventh season in a row. McCollum, one of the league's most crafty scorers, is averaging 21.3 ppg.

Norman Powell and Robert Covington give the Blazers a solid pair of 3&D players. Powell averages 16.7 ppg, while Cov is shooting 41% from deep.

Jusuf Nurkic continues to man the middle in the Northwest, and he's averaging 10.8 ppg and 10.9 rpg.

Utah Jazz

The Jazz took a very tough loss on Monday to Memphis. Utah led for the whole contest, but a late three from Jaren Jackson Jr. would propel Memphis to victory, 119-118.

Spida's off to another fast start, and the fifth-year guard is on pace to lead the Jazz in scoring again as he's up to 24.0 ppg.

Rudy Gobert's presence is unmatched league-wide. The Stifle Tower commands attention defensive, and doesn't take away from the offense at all. Gobert has been a menace on the boards, and he leads the league with 14.9 rpg.

Reigning Sixth Man of the Year Jordan Clarkson has endured a few shooting woes, but the walking microwave is a threat to heat up at a moment.

Joe Ingles and Bojan Bogdanovic continue to thrive in the Utah system, and represent two of the best role players and snipers in the league.

Prediction

Portland appeared to be figuring things out, but their road struggles are too much to ignore here. The Trail Blazers have lost ten of twelve games as visitors this season, and the Jazz need a win badly right now. Although they've endured a minor mid-season crisis, the talent is still there. Their worth a shot tonight.
