Preview

The Phoenix Suns will travel to the FedExForum and take on the Memphis Grizzlies this evening.

Phoenix Suns

The Suns have started the month of November with five straight wins, and the defending Western Conference Champions are beginning to hit their stride.

Devin Booker looks to lead the Suns in scoring for a fifth straight season. He paces Phoenix with 22.6 ppg, while adding 5.3 apg, and a career-best 6.3 rpg.

Veteran point guard Chris Paul continues to be a steady presence in his 17th season. CP3 put together a monster line of 14/18/7 against the Pelicans, and he leads the NBA in assists with 10.9 apg.

Mikal Bridges is averaging a career high 14.8 ppg on 40% shooting from deep.

DeAndre Ayton's presence has been missing, but JaVale McGee and Frank Kaminsky have really stepped up this month. The former Wisconsin great is coming off of a career-high 31 points. Phoenix doesn't necessaily flow better without Big Ayton offensively, but their spacing has been much better.

Memphis Grizzlies

Ja Morant has really upped his play this season. The third-year point guard is leading the team with 26.5 ppg, which is good for fourth in the NBA. He's really harassing teams in the paint, taking high pick & rolls, and finishing clinically at the rack.

Dillon Brooks will sit this one out, meaning Desmond Bane will be counted on heavily against. The former TCU guard has reached double figures in all 12 games except one, and he's averaging 15.1 ppg, up from last year's 9.2.

Jaren Jackson Jr. has struggled a bit with foul trouble this season, but he's beginning to thrive in the five spot. JJJ is scoring 14.1 ppg, and grabbing 6.2 rpg.

Replacing Jonas Val with Steven Adams has been a but of a drop off, but Aquaman still provides a reliable paint presence for this gritty, young team.

Prediction

This might be the game Phoenix feels the loss of DeAndre Ayton the most, but we won't be fading their momentum their. Even with Ja Morant attacking at will right now, and Aquaman roaming the paint for Memphis, the Suns have hit another gear and could be a gift at these odds.

We'll play it safe and take the Suns ML here.
