The Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees will wrap up their four-game set this evening. The Jays have taken the first three, and are eyeing their second sweep of the Yanks this season.

The Blue Jays have really made things really interesting over the past two weeks. They're on a seven-game winning streak and they've won ten of their last eleven to jump right back into the AL Wild Card picture. The Jays now rest two games behind both the Red Sox and their opponents tonight, the Yankees. Completing the sweep tonight in New York will be quite the task but an accomplishment.

The Yankees were the hotting team in baseball last month. They've responded to a thirteen-game win streak by losing their last five games, and nine of their last thirteen. The Yankees have to figure out things out now, as an anticipated Subway Series looms this weekend. A loss here, and a bad showing at Citi Field may put the Yanks in deeper trouble.

Jose Berrios (10-7, 3.55 ERA) will the take the mound for Toronto. He's locked in since coming over from Minnesota at the deadline, and won his last three decision. He was phenonmenal in his last road start in Detroit, striking out eleven while only giving up one run over seven innings of work. He could give this slumping Yankees team trouble tonight.

Yankees

Nestor Cortes (2-2, 2.67 ERA) will get the call for New York. The third-year pitcher has been solid since joining the rotation in late July. He's thrown seven strikeouts in three of his last four starts. He's been able to avoid trouble by getting out of innings quickly, but this will be his first time facing a confident Toronto lineup.  

Prediction

We want to trust the momentum of the Toronto Blue Jays tonight. This game feels like a must-win for the Yanks, but the Jays are in the midst of a streak of their own. They've scored five or more in all seven wins, and covered the run line in five of them. Tonight could be a close one, with all the pressure going into this primetime game. With Berrios and Cortes both being in fine form, the under could be appealing, but we're going to sway with the Jays. Take Toronto's moneyline.
